"DANCE..." by Slayyyter

One thing about Slayyyter is SHE DOES NOT PLAY. I fucking love her vocals, which are always a little amped-up via distortion, and her unmatched confidence over simple but noisy production. Slayyyter holds the party hostage and takes it for all it's worth with every track on this EP. The synth melodies are heavy and elegant, Euro-club style, even while carrying such raunchy lyrics as "I stray just like a dog, addicted to that heavy fucking" (Track: "CRANK"). This EP is absolutely worth a listen; I have personally had the single "BEAT UP CHANEL$" stuck in my head since it came out this past summer. If you have not heard this track yet, enjoy the last few moments before you have it stuck in your head for three weeks straight. (The song is good, so it's a good thing, but it will happen.) This EP teases Miss Slayyyter's third full-length studio album "WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA", which is due in March 2026, and I cannot wait to listen to this baddie yell at me some more. *chef's kiss*

"Now I Know What Dreams Are Made Of" by Himera

Some listeners might say that the inscrutably experimental music by Latvian-born, Ireland-based artist Himera (Daniil Masterov) only appeals to certain people on certain substances, but I think it sounds like it’s bursting at the seams. Himera’s music is constantly asking you to listen a little deeper, beyond the shimmering synths arpeggiated by occasional industrial techno, into an elusive realm that is always just out of reach. Inspired by Eastern European rave culture but taking on properties of a dream-world all its own, Himera’s music is made for immersion and ideation. His sophomore album, “Now I Know What Dreams Are Made Of,” is his best work yet; it is at turns shiningly optimistic and soulfully introspective. Released in November 2025 through his own label "unseelie", Himera ventures boldly into fruitful experimental terrain alongside his frequent collaborators Petal Supply and plastic pet. Definitely worth a listen with a good joint and a comfy chair.
